They may not have met in a little travel bookshop in Notting Hill, but Julia Roberts and her husband Danny Moder are clearly a match made in heaven.

Daniel and Julia with their three children
Daniel Moder is a cinematographer and camera operator. Born and raised in LA, the 54-year-old began his career in Hollywood as a production assistant on the 1995 Crimson Tide, and has since gone on to work as a camera operator on Spider Man 3, Mr & Mrs Smith and Point Break.
Elsewhere, Danny has worked as a cinematographer on Ibiza, Animal Kingdom and The Normal Heart, for which he was nominated an Emmy.

The couple tied the knot in 2002
Danny and Julia met on the set of The Mexican back in 2002. Both were in relationships at the time, as Julia was dating Miss Congeniality star Benjamin Bratt, and Daniel was married to make-up artist Vera Steimberg.

At the time, it was reported that Julia wore a homemade T-shirt which read 'a low Vera' during Vera and Danny's split.

Julia opened up about the T-shirt in an interview with Oprah
Denying that their relationship was the cause of Danny's split from Vera in an interview with Oprah, the Notting Hill star explained: "He sorted his whole thing out, separate and apart from me. And I sorted my life out, separate and apart from him. I think that's the only reason we were able to ultimately fall in love with each other and be together."
When she was asked about the T-shirt, she said: "You know what that was about? It was private. I stand by my T-shirt."
Julia and Danny's relationship has always been very low-key, so much so that rather than wearing a lavish engagement ring, Julia opted for a simple emerald ring that was reportedly purchased at a shopping centre for around £3,000.
The pair said 'I do' in 2002 at Julia's ranch in New Mexico but have always kept details about their special day under wraps. According to AOL News, guests revealed that Julia wore a pink cotton dress for the ceremony, while Danny wore a ruffled shirt.

Danny is an Emmy-nominated cinematographer
In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, the Eat Pray Love actress shared: " The life that I've built with my husband. The life that we've built with our children, that's the best stuff, to come home at the end of the day triumphantly to them."
Touching on the realities of being a self-confessed 'homemaker', Julia went on to say: "When I'm not working, that is my full-time job… And it isn't, you know, rainbows and kittens every day, but it does bring me a lot of joy."

Julia gushed about her husband
To mark their wedding anniversary in 2022, Julia chose to share a rare personal photo, capturing an intimate moment between the couple. The photo shows Julia and Danny passionately kissing, with Danny tenderly placing his hand on the back of his wife's neck.
"[star] TWENTY [star] #cantstopsmiling #cantstopkissing," the Pretty Woman actress sweetly wrote in the caption.
The Pretty Women star welcomed twin babies Hazel and Phinnaeus in November 2004. Later in June 2007, the brunette beauty gave birth to her youngest child – a son called Henry.

Danny shared a rare family picture
Gushing about her kids in an interview with InStyle in 2017, Julia said: "There's no way to describe it without sounding sappy or ridiculous because everything in my mind ends with an exclamation point… And the thing is, we have these three human beings who are just a complete reflection of the affection we have for each other."

The couple are proud parents to three children
In a bid to protect their children's privacy, Julia and Danny traded their Los Angeles home for a quiet life in San Francisco. The couple snapped up a sprawling $8.3million estate in San Fran's serene Presidio Heights neighbourhood.
When they're not sunning themselves in California, Julia, Danny and her children split their time between their stunning properties in Malibu and New Mexico.
In light of the couple's hectic work schedules, Julia and her husband Danny frequently spend time apart. While Julia was filming for her latest rom-com, Ticket to Paradise, the star and her husband sweetly exchanged letters which they later hope to share with their daughter, Hazel.
The duo have been together for 20 years
"It's something Danny and I have always done," Roberts explained. " The first letter he ever wrote me, which was seven pages long, I still have it tucked away. One day I'll show it to Hazel and say, 'That's what you're looking for.'"
Despite rumors that the pair had ended their relationship after they hadn't been spotted together for several months, Julia shut down the reports by sharing a lovely photo of herself enjoying a holiday with her husband.

They've since squashed the rumors and look happier than ever together.
